Large, with magnificent views, the whole family will love this home-away-from home.
Set above the Rimon and the Serenity suites, ParkPlace feels like home. Majestic, yet cozy, tucked away, yet in the heart of the Artists’ Quarter, this three-bedroom home is an ideal place for several couples. Or, come with the family.
A burgundy door leads up 20 steps to a large tiled porch that overlooks a park and the mountains to the west. Tables and chairs invite you to sit and unwind, especially during sunset. Stepping inside, you will feel as if you are entering a home. To the left is a large, open concept kitchen with brown granite counters, large fridge, wooden cupboards and an island with four bar stools. As in all other Beit Yosef zimmers, you’ll feel right at home; there are plates, mugs, cups, cutlery and wine glasses, a kettle and a microwave. For those who keep Shabbat, there is a hot plate and an urn.
The dining room table seats eight and the living area has leather couches and a flat screen TV. The walls are painted a warm yellow. One wall is original stone; look for the ornate design around the doorway and metal rings, features that remind us of its 600-year-old history.
There are three bedrooms opening onto a hallway. The first bedroom, ideal for children, has a single bed with a single pullout below. The second bedroom is larger and has a double bed with charming antique furniture. There is a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet off the hallway.
At the end of the hall is the third bedroom with a cream-colored four-poster double bed and large wooden armoire. Bright and airy, this bedroom has windows on two sides. There is an ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi tub and shower, sink and toilet.
Additional Information: All of the Beit Yosef guest houses offer air conditioning/heating and lots of space for hanging clothes. The shops and restaurants of the main street just a five-minute walk away; the synagogues and galleries of the Old City of Safed are below, a 10-15 minute walk away.
