This large, three-bedroom house can accommodate up to nine people comfortably – and in style.
Rise above it all with sweeping views to the east and the Kinneret! Set above HaPalmach Street, just below the historic Metzuda Fortress, the View House offers visitors tranquility and relaxation. A pedestrian walkway framed by grape vines and pomegranate trees leads from the road up to the View House. A gate opens to a large wooden deck, complete a wooden table and chairs. Bring a book to enjoy in the hammock nestled beneath a lush grape vine. Here, you can enjoy views of the Kinneret below as well as the neighboring areas of Biria and Givat Shoshana.
Walking in the front door to a sitting area, you feel as if you are in a country home in Provence. Wood trim windows are adorned with hand made curtains and a love seat is covered in pillows – all with hints of burgundy, gold and autumnal orange. Two single beds can comfortably be used as couches during the day. There is also a flat screen TV with cable and a DVD player. Guests can enjoy free internet access.
Beyond is the large Provence-style kitchen. Mi Casa. Su Casa These words are painted on the kitchen wall and imbue a happy, light and bright feeling. In true country style, playful roosters sit atop the shelves (there is even a rooster door knocker!). With its high ceilings, large marble counter, original stone arches and stained glass windows, the kitchen offers a large fridge/freezer, microwave, and two-burner electric hotplate. There are mugs, plates, wineglasses, cups as well as meat and dairy cutlery. For guests who keep Shabbat, there is a hotplate, urn, timers and even a havdalah set. A door leads to a balcony where you can see the Kinneret while cradling your morning coffee.
A hallway leads to a bedroom with two single wrought iron beds with rich burgundy bedding. Nearby is a bathroom with toilet, sink and stall shower. A second bedroom features two single beds and is decorated in pinks and greens. The second bathroom has a tub/shower, large pedestal sink and toilet. Further down the hall is a third bedroom. Smaller, it offers two single beds complete with exotic Moroccan-style pillows.
Additional Information: All of the Beit Yosef guest houses offer air conditioning/heating and lots of space for hanging clothes. The shops and restaurants of the main street are below, just a five-minute walk away; the synagogues and galleries of the Old City of Safed are also below, a 15-minute walk away.
